Earlier this morning, YouTube announced that they have officially launched new services YouTube Red and YouTube Music app in Australia and New Zealand. These are the first two countries to obtain the new music and video streaming subscription service outside of the US.
YouTube Red is a paid subscription service that provides the ultimate YouTube experience, allowing users to watch ad-free and offline content across all devices and operating systems as well being able to play music videos in the background on your phone or tablet.
The YouTube Music app is designed to make discovering, watching, and listening to music easy and enjoyable, offering one of the world’s largest catalogues for video and music streaming combined.
Much like the other music streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music, YouTube Music will allow users to create personal stations with recommendations based on listening history and trending lists with the most popular music on YouTube each day.
