It was announced last week that Messenger, the instant messaging app from Facebook has added music streaming sharing to it’s service with the integration of Spotify.
Users will be able to bounce between the messaging app and music streaming app to search and share music quickly and efficiently. Simply clicking on the ‘More’ section within the Messenger app and selecting the Spotify section. This will then lead the user to the Spotify app on their IOS or Android device where they can choose their favourite music and tap it to share, then be redirected back to the Messenger app – very simple way to share music and keep in touch with friends and family.
Sharing options have always been a part of the Spotify experience, with the app linking to many such as email, SMS, Whatsapp, Twitter, Facebook and Messenger. However, with this new integration it becomes even easier to switch between the two apps and share music instantly to not interrupt the users instant messaging experience.
