Twitter has unleashed ‘Moments’, one of the biggest changes to their social media service since the company’s launch in 2006.
Twitter has been the forefront of keeping it’s users up to date with numerous tweets on current events, memes, and public discussions where users can join in and follow accounts, retweet, favourite or use #hashtags to keep topics trending. This is one of the most popular social media services, especially amongst well known public figures, with over 300 million current active users!
Moments is the new feature on Twitter that allows users to follow along with TV shows, sports, news and other events with a curated experience. Moments work by curating data from different tweets, videos, Vines and GIFs and turning it into a full screen view, meaning the user does not need to follow individual accounts and can simply stay up to date with their favourite group of events.
