Record Store Day 2015: ERA Survey Results

rsd2

In the wake of another fantastic Record Store Day, ERA conducted a survey with participating stores in order to better understand what does and doesn’t work from a retailers’ point of view.

Practical format matters came into play, with 10”s getting lost in the racks and being the least favoured vinyl format. High dealer prices on 12” and 7” singles were also a matter of contention, along with releases from new or unknown artists. Wish lists for next year included bonus material on any reissues, with new music, cover versions & previously unavailable material being requested at reasonable prices to give punters a genuine reason to come in and make purchases on the day.

We can’t wait for Record Store Day in 2016!
